Description

The WTP3 Serial Interface is one of two module types that act as the link between the system's sensors and devices and the WTP3 CPU. It handles serial data acquisition, providing two bi-directional COM ports that support RS232, RS422, RS485 and NMEA 0183 devices at baud rates from 1,200 to 115,200, making it ideal for interfacing GPS receivers, NMEA sensors and other serial equipment. The module is powered from the CAN bus and can in turn supply power to connected sensors, and it can be located anywhere on the CAN network using DIP switches to set a unique device address. A diagnostic LED shows power and data activity at a glance. Supplied with a CAN cable and CAN T-piece for connection to the network.
