Description

The Electrical Cabinet Basic is the on-board consumer unit at the heart of the Ratio AC16 shore-power system. Fed from the boat's shore-power inlet, it distributes the incoming 230V supply through a single RCBO that combines residual-current and overcurrent protection in one device, guarding both the vessel's circuits and anyone on board against earth faults and overloads.

Like every part of the AC16 range, the cabinet uses Ratio's snap-in connection system, so it wires into the inlet, isolator and internal cabling without special tools. Its compact enclosure is designed for the confined spaces found in most boats, giving a tidy, safe and easily extended shore-power installation.

What protection does the AC16-03 cabinet provide?
It is fitted with a single RCBO rated at 30mA residual current and 16A, which combines earth-leakage (RCD) and overcurrent (MCB) protection in one device to safeguard the boat's 230V shore-power circuits.
How does the cabinet connect to the rest of the AC16 system?
It uses Ratio's snap-in connection system, so it links to the shore-power inlet, galvanic isolator and internal cables without any tools, making installation and later extension straightforward.
Is the AC16-03 suitable for a standard boat shore-power supply?
Yes. It is designed for 230V single-phase shore-power supplies up to 16A and forms the central distribution point of the modular AC16 on-board system.
