The Garmin B175HW is a 1 kW bronze thru-hull CHIRP wide-beam transducer working on a single high band of 150 to 250 kHz. Where a standard high-frequency transducer narrows its beam, the B175HW holds a fixed 25 degree beam across the whole band, giving roughly twice the coverage beneath the boat and revealing more fish in the upper water column. The flush bronze housing protrudes less than a quarter inch outside the hull and can sit on trailer rollers or bunks without damage. With 1 kW of power and 100 kHz of bandwidth it sounds to 600 ft. The three B175HW part numbers differ only by element tilt. This 12 degree version suits hulls of 8 to 15 degrees deadrise. The 0 degree version (010-12181-20) suits 0 to 7 degrees and the 20 degree version (010-12181-22) suits 16 to 24 degrees.
