Description
The Mastervolt GMDSS remote panel provides remote monitoring for Mass battery chargers with GMDSS system monitoring functions. Unlike the integrated front panel, this is a separate panel that mounts away from the charger and is compatible with Mass battery chargers, showing battery voltage and current on a digital LCD display. Status LEDs and potential-free alarm contacts cover DC voltage, charger and AC mains alarms, monitoring the status of the battery and battery charger on a 12 or 24 V DC system.
GMDSS stands for Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, an internationally agreed set of safety procedures, equipment and communication protocols required under the SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea) convention, using DSC and satellite communication. The panel is supplied with an interface, a 500 A / 50 mV shunt and a user manual, and the system automatically detects whether it is fitted to a 12 V or 24 V installation. Panel dimensions are 180 x 65 x 40 mm with a 168 x 53 mm cut-out.
