Description
The Simrad R2009 Halo 3 kit is a complete radar package combining a dedicated R2009 9-inch radar control display with the solid-state Halo 3 open array radar. The 25 W Halo pedestal and 3 ft antenna deliver a 2.4 degree horizontal beam and an instrumented range of up to 48 nautical miles, with the clean close-in picture and confident long-range detection that pulse compression provides.
Because the radar is all solid-state there is no magnetron to wear out, and it is ready to transmit in 16 to 25 seconds from power-on while remaining safe to run in harbours and marinas. The supplied RI-12 interface module brings NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 navigation data into the system, and the R2009 display provides full control and radar overlay. This package suits operators who want a standalone radar station rather than a multifunction display.
