Description
The IC-M510BB is a 25 W Class D DSC marine VHF transceiver built as a black box, so the RF unit can be hidden in a locker or behind a panel and the helm keeps only the HM-195GB CommandMic. The RF unit can sit up to 18.3 m (60 ft) from the CommandMic, and up to three CommandMic stations can be fitted, putting the radio and its intercom at the helm, chart table, cabin or flybridge.
An integrated AIS receiver shows surrounding vessels and warns of collision risk, with individual DSC calls made straight from the AIS screen. NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183-HS connections share GNSS position, AIS, DSC call and channel data with a chartplotter or MFD, while Active Noise Cancelling digitally strips engine and wind noise from both transmitted and received audio.
A two minute last-call voice recorder, 13 W RX hailer and foghorn output, internal GPS receiver and a dedicated DSC remote control interface for PC console software complete the package. Both the RF unit and the CommandMic are IPX7 waterproof.
