Description
The Garmin B60 is an entry-level bronze thru-hull transducer fitted with a 12 degree tilted element, so the acoustic beam fires vertically on hulls with a deadrise of 8 to 15 degrees without a separate fairing block. The dual-beam 50/200 kHz element returns depth and water-temperature data, the wide 50 kHz beam giving broad coverage for fish location and the narrow 200 kHz beam providing sharp bottom detail.
The bronze housing is suited to fibreglass and wooden hulls and must not be fitted to metal boats, where galvanic interaction can corrode the hull or housing. It terminates in an 8-pin Garmin connector on a 39 ft cable; when used with a 6-pin Garmin sounder an adapter cable is required. Supplied with installation hardware and instructions, which should be followed carefully to avoid damaging the hull.
