Description

The Garmin GNX 21 is a 4-inch marine instrument with an inverted monochrome LCD, designed for sailors who value clarity and battery economy. Its glass-bonded display shows white or colour digits on a black background, with an anti-glare lens coating for excellent readability by day and night. Digits scale up to 36 mm, keeping depth, speed, wind and over 50 other marine and boat parameters legible at a glance. Power consumption is exceptionally low at just 25 mA (350 mW with no backlight), which makes the GNX 21 particularly well suited to sailboats. It draws both power and data from a NMEA 2000 network and shares the same rugged, fully-gasketed polycarbonate case as the GNX 20, rated to IPX7. The inverted LCD is best viewed at less than a 50-degree angle.
