Description
The SCM25 MPPT is Mastervolt's smallest Solar ChargeMaster, yet it is just as capable as its larger siblings. Handling 200 to 700 Wp of solar panels with a switchable output and built-in buzzer, it is very well suited to small and medium solar systems on boats and other mobile installations.
Its innovative MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology charges batteries up to 30% faster than PWM regulators using the same number of panels. As well as the traditional 36 and 72-cell panels, it works well with cost-effective 60-cell panels, and it automatically detects 12 or 24-volt battery banks.
The regulator suits all battery types, including Mastervolt Lithium Ion, with charge profiles pre-programmed and selectable at the push of a button. A clear backlit display, comprehensive protection, an audible malfunction alarm and a rugged IP23 casing make it easy to use and dependable in humid environments.
