Description

The SCM60 MPPT-MB is Mastervolt's largest Solar ChargeMaster, designed for medium-sized and large solar installations. It handles 600 to 3600 Wp of panels, automatically detects 12, 24 or 48-volt battery banks and includes an integrated MasterBus connection, making it well suited to systems that need significant power even in demanding conditions.

Its innovative MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology charges batteries up to 30% faster than PWM regulators using the same number of panels. A 145 V maximum input voltage allows several panels to be wired in series, cutting cable length, installation time and power loss. Beyond the traditional 36 and 72-cell panels, the SCM60 is also ideal for cost-effective 60-cell panels.

The regulator suits all battery types, including Mastervolt Lithium Ion, with pre-programmed charge profiles selectable from the display or over MasterBus. Comprehensive protection, quiet operation and a rugged IP23 casing make it safe and dependable in humid environments.

How much solar can the SCM60 MPPT-MB handle?
It supports 600 to 3600 Wp of solar panels: up to 900 Wp on a 12 V system, 1800 Wp on 24 V and 3600 Wp on 48 V, with a maximum charge current of 60 A.
How much faster is MPPT than a PWM regulator?
Mastervolt states the SCM60 MPPT-MB charges batteries up to 30% faster than PWM regulators using the same number of panels, thanks to its Maximum Power Point Tracking technology.
Does it work with lithium batteries?
Yes. It is suitable for all battery types including Mastervolt Lithium Ion, with pre-programmed charge profiles. Lithium Ion protection is provided via the MasterBus connection.
What is the maximum PV input voltage?
The maximum PV voltage at minimum temperature is 145 V, which allows several panels to be wired in series to reduce cable length, installation time and power loss.
Does it select the battery voltage automatically?
Yes. The SCM60 MPPT-MB automatically detects and supports 12, 24 and 48 V battery banks.
