Description
The Garmin GNX Wind is a purpose-built sailing instrument that puts wind data front and centre. Its graphical wind rose can show true and apparent wind angle together, switch to a focused close-hauled view, or display true wind direction, helping you read shifts and trim with confidence. Steer-pilot mode turns the display into a steering guide for holding a chosen wind angle, steering to a waypoint or timing tacks using stored port and starboard headings. The GNX Wind accepts data from a wireless gWind sensor or a wired wind sensor through the NMEA 2000 network, which also supplies its power. Up to four instrument screens can be customised to show the data you want, and wind information can be mirrored on a compatible Garmin wearable through the Boat Data Connect IQ app. The glass-bonded display carries an anti-glare lens and an IPX7 waterproof rating.
