Description
The Garmin 77 plastic thru-hull transducer is an Airmar P19 housing supplied with a 20 degree tilted element, aligning the acoustic beam vertically on hulls with a deadrise of 16 to 24 degrees. The dual-beam 77/200 kHz element returns depth and water-temperature readings, the wide 77 kHz beam covering more water column for fish location and the narrow 200 kHz beam giving crisp bottom definition at higher speeds.
The plastic housing is intended for fibreglass and metal hulls and must not be used on wooden boats, where absorbed water can swell the timber and crack the housing. The transducer ends in an 8-pin Garmin connector on a 30 ft cable, with an adapter required when connecting to 4-pin or 12-pin Garmin sounders. Supplied with installation hardware and instructions.
