Description
The Garmin B60 is an entry-level bronze thru-hull transducer fitted with a 20 degree tilted element, aligning the acoustic beam vertically on hulls with a deadrise of 16 to 24 degrees without the need for a separate fairing block. The dual-beam 50/200 kHz element provides depth and water-temperature readings, with the wide 50 kHz beam covering more of the water column and the narrow 200 kHz beam delivering crisp bottom definition.
The bronze housing suits fibreglass and wooden hulls and must not be used on metal boats, where galvanic interaction between hull and housing can cause corrosion. It terminates in an 8-pin Garmin connector on a 39 ft cable; an adapter cable is required when connecting to a 6-pin Garmin sounder. Supplied with installation hardware and instructions; follow them carefully to avoid damaging the hull.
