Description
The Garmin B744V is the only Airmar-based thru-hull transducer to combine depth, speed and water temperature in a single bronze housing, making it a tidy one-hole installation where a separate paddlewheel and depth transducer would otherwise be needed. The dual-beam 50/200 kHz element gives broad 50 kHz coverage for fish location and a narrow 200 kHz beam for bottom detail, while the paddlewheel reports through-water speed.
The transducer accommodates hull deadrise angles from 0 to 24 degrees and terminates in an 8-pin Garmin connector on a 39 ft cable; when used with a 6-pin Garmin sounder, adapter cable 010-11612-00 is required. Supplied with installation hardware and instructions, which should be followed carefully to avoid damaging the hull.
