Description
The Raymarine Micro Fluxgate compass is the primary heading sensor for Raymarine SmartPilot and SPX SmartPilot autopilot systems. It continuously measures the boat's magnetic heading and feeds that information to the autopilot course computer, which uses it to hold a course and execute turns.
The compass connects directly to the dedicated fluxgate compass input on the SmartPilot or SPX course computer. For best performance it should be installed in accordance with the Raymarine installation instructions and the compass swung (calibrated) during system commissioning.
