The Simrad NSO evo2 Marine Processor is a black-box marine processor for building a custom glass-helm navigation system with your own Simrad monitors. Dual quad-core processors drive up to two independent displays via HDMI, with the response needed for charts, radar and sonar. Three Ethernet ports, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 give wide integration with autopilot, instruments and third-party systems. Supplied with a worldwide basemap (no detailed cartography).

How many monitors can the NSO evo2 processor drive?
The processor has two HDMI outputs and can drive up to two independent monitors, each running as a separate multifunction display. Monitors with DVI inputs can be connected using an HDMI-to-DVI adaptor.
Does the NSO evo2 processor have a built-in GPS?
No. The NSO evo2 processor requires an external GPS source. Position data is typically supplied over the NMEA 2000 network from an antenna such as the Simrad GS25.
Does it have a built-in echosounder?
No. There is no internal sonar. To view echosounder images you need to add a compatible external echosounder module on the Ethernet network.
What networking does the processor provide?
It offers three Ethernet ports (two with Power over Ethernet), one NMEA 2000 Micro-C port, and NMEA 0183 / RS422 serial connectivity, plus two composite video inputs and two USB-A ports.
Are charts included?
A worldwide basemap is pre-loaded but no detailed cartography is supplied. Add a C-MAP or Navionics chart card on the SD card slot (max 32 GB) for detailed charts of your area.
What is the waterproof rating and warranty?
The processor is rated IPX2, so it must be mounted in a protected location below decks. It is supplied with a 2-year warranty.
