Description

The Simrad OP12 is a compact keypad autopilot controller for Continuum and NAC-based autopilot systems. Rather than a screen, it uses a clean five-key layout: dedicated port and starboard keys adjust the set heading in one- or ten-degree steps, while AUTO, MODE and STBY keys switch between standby, automatic, Wind, NAV and NoDrift steering. A single LED gives mode and alarm feedback, glowing green in day mode and red at night.

Its slim panel-mount housing makes the OP12 an ideal additional control station at a second helm, flybridge or cockpit position, working alongside an AP44, AP48 or multifunction display on the same system. In standby it activates Non-Follow-Up steering directly from the port and starboard keys, and on sailing boats both port or both starboard keys start an automatic tack or gybe.

The OP12 connects with a single male Micro-C lead, draws very little power and carries an IPx7 waterproof rating for exposed installations.
