Description
The Maretron SIM100 Switch Indicator Module continually monitors switch-closure devices interconnected on your NMEA 2000 network, from safety equipment such as smoke, heat, carbon monoxide and explosive-vapour detectors to security devices like motion, vibration and door or hatch magnetic switches, and vessel-monitoring signals such as valve position or high bilge water. When a switch changes state, the SIM100 alerts the crew so potential problems can be investigated early.
Two switch types are supported across the module's six channels. An advanced feature detects whether power has been lost to a monitored device or whether its signal wires have become disconnected, whether through corrosion, tampering or any other cause, so faults are not silently missed. The information is displayed anywhere on the vessel using a compatible NMEA 2000 display such as the Maretron DSM410 or DSM570.
