Description

The Raymarine RVX1000 is a remotely mounted black box sonar module that brings the full sonar performance of Raymarine's Axiom Pro to multifunction displays that lack built-in high-power sonar. A single module delivers five sonar channels: award-winning RealVision 3D, CHIRP SideVision, CHIRP DownVision, a low-power high-frequency CHIRP channel and a high-powered 1 kW dual-channel CHIRP sonar, making it suited to both inshore and offshore fishing.

RealVision 3D renders bottom topography, structure and fish as a true, easy-to-read 3D model, while the dedicated quad-core processor lets the host display run several sonar channels at once without compromise. Sonar Scroll Back rewinds, pauses and replays up to ten minutes of recorded history, TruZoom magnifies targets without losing resolution, and the GPS Track feature uses precision GPS to build an accurate real-time 3D picture of the world beneath the boat.

The RVX1000 connects to the network over RayNet and accepts RealVision 3D, Wide Beam CHIRP and 1 kW CHIRP transducers directly, with adaptor cables available for DownVision, CPT-S and traditional transducers.

What is the Raymarine RVX1000?
The RVX1000 is a remotely mounted black box sonar module. It adds the full sonar capability of Raymarine's Axiom Pro - RealVision 3D, CHIRP SideVision, CHIRP DownVision and a 1 kW dual-channel CHIRP sonar - to a compatible multifunction display, giving five sonar channels from a single module.
Which displays does the RVX1000 work with?
The RVX1000 connects to a compatible Raymarine LightHouse multifunction display over the RayNet network. The original installation instructions list Axiom and Axiom Pro displays running LightHouse 3 (v3.4 or later), and Raymarine has continued to maintain RVX1000 firmware in step with LightHouse 4 for Axiom chartplotters (current to LightHouse 4.9.330, software versions should match).
What sonar power and depth range does it provide?
The RVX1000 delivers up to 1 kW RMS of sonar power with a depth range from 0.9 m (3 ft) to 1,524 m (5,000 ft) in optimum conditions using a 1 kW transducer. The 1 kW CHIRP channel operates across Low, Medium and High CHIRP at 50, 80, 100, 160 and 200 kHz.
What transducers can I connect to the RVX1000?
RealVision 3D transducers (such as the RV-100 and RV-200), Wide Beam CHIRP transducers and 1 kW CHIRP transducers connect directly. DownVision and CPT-S conical transducers connect through the 25-pin to 9-pin adaptor cable (A80490), and traditional transducers through the 11-pin to 8-pin adaptor cable (A80496). The module has separate RV and 1 kW transducer inputs.
What is included in the box?
The RVX1000 ships with the sonar module, a 1.5 m (5 ft) power cable, four No. 8 fixing screws, a 2 m (6.56 ft) RayNet to RayNet network cable and the documentation pack. Transducers and adaptor cables are ordered separately to suit the installation.
Does the RVX1000 record and replay sonar?
Yes. The Sonar Scroll Back feature lets you rewind, pause and replay up to ten minutes of recorded sonar history so you can take a closer look at fish and structure and drop waypoints. TruZoom also magnifies targets without losing resolution, and GPS Track builds an accurate real-time 3D model of the seabed.
