Description

The GPSMAP 8616 brings the compact 8600-series glass-helm experience to a large 15.6-inch screen with built-in sonar, ideal for sport fishermen, cruisers and sailors who want total control in a streamlined package. The full HD IPS touchscreen delivers wide viewing angles, superior clarity and sunlight readability, even through polarised sunglasses, while the glass design flat mounts edge-to-edge or flush with a low profile.

Built-in sonar supports 1 kW dual-channel traditional CHIRP for superior target separation, plus CHIRP ClearVu and SideVu scanning to view below and around the boat, and Ultra High-Definition scanning sonar, with no black box required (transducer sold separately). Wi-Fi, ANT and NMEA 2000 connect the 8616 to the Garmin Marine Network for sharing radar, sonar, cameras and instruments across helms, and OneHelm compatibility brings supported third-party systems to the touchscreen. The rugged housing carries an IPX7 water rating.
