Description

The Garmin GT34UHD-THP is a matched port-and-starboard pair of 12-pin thru-hull transducers delivering Ultra High-Definition ClearVu and SideVu scanning sonar at 800 kHz and 1,200 kHz. With 500 W per element, the pair produces stunningly clear, high-resolution images of structure and fish below the boat (UHD ClearVu to 200 ft) and out to the sides (UHD SideVu 125 ft each side, 250 ft total). Splitting SideVu across two hull-mounted transducers maintains clear side coverage on hulls of up to 25 degrees deadrise. Two fairing blocks, isolation plates and bushings are included, with at least one anti-rotation bolt required per transducer, and a built-in fast-response water temperature sensor. The two transducers join via the included Y-cable to a Garmin sonar system, working with a GPSMAP 8600xsv or ECHOMAP Ultra chartplotter or the GCV 20 sonar module.

Compatibility

Compatible devicesAdds Ultra High-Definition ClearVu and SideVu to compatible Garmin chartplotters. Plugs directly into a GPSMAP 8600xsv series or ECHOMAP Ultra series chartplotter, or use the GCV 20 sonar module to display on other compatible chartplotters (also supported via GSD 25). Some combinations require an adapter cable.

Why is the GT34UHD-THP supplied as a pair?
Ultra High-Definition SideVu needs near-flat mounting to image evenly to both sides. Splitting SideVu across two hull-mounted transducers, one angled to each side, lets the GT34UHD-THP keep clear UHD side coverage on hulls of up to 25 degrees deadrise. The pair joins to the sonar system via the included Y-cable.
What sonar does the GT34UHD-THP provide?
Ultra High-Definition Garmin ClearVu (800 kHz) and SideVu (1,200 kHz) scanning sonar, 500 W per element. UHD ClearVu reads to 200 ft and UHD SideVu to 125 ft each side (250 ft total). There is no traditional sonar element.
What do I need to display it?
It uses 12-pin connectors joined by a Y-cable. It works with a GPSMAP 8600xsv or ECHOMAP Ultra chartplotter, or through the GCV 20 sonar module on other compatible chartplotters; some combinations require an adapter cable.
Does it read water temperature?
Yes, it has a built-in fast-response water temperature sensor.
