Description

The Victron Lynx Class-T Power In brings high-interrupt-capacity Class-T fusing into the modular Lynx Distribution system. It provides a positive and negative tinned-copper busbar with two battery or DC-equipment connections, each protected by its own Class-T fuse holder, giving the fault protection demanded by lithium battery banks.

Class-T fuses offer a very high breaking capacity, which makes them the preferred choice for safeguarding large lithium systems against short-circuit currents. The module is rated for 1000 A continuous at 12, 24 or 48 V and accepts standard 3/8 inch stud Class-T fuses, which are purchased separately to suit each battery string.

Like the rest of the Lynx range it bolts directly to other Lynx modules to build a continuous busbar, and its ABS enclosure offers IP20 protection. The M10 busbar joints connect to neighbouring modules while the cable connections are M8.

Why use Class-T fuses for a lithium battery system?
Class-T fuses have a very high breaking capacity, so they can safely interrupt the very large short-circuit currents that lithium batteries can deliver. This makes them the recommended fuse type for protecting large lithium battery banks.
Are the Class-T fuses included?
No. The Class-T fuses are sold separately so you can match the fuse rating to your battery string. The holders accept standard 3/8 inch stud Class-T fuses.
How many connections does it have?
It has two fused battery or DC-equipment connections, each with its own Class-T fuse holder, on a shared positive and negative busbar.
Can it be combined with other Lynx modules?
Yes. The Lynx Class-T Power In bolts to other Lynx modules such as the Lynx Distributor, Lynx Shunt VE.Can or Lynx Smart BMS to form a continuous busbar. It uses M10 busbar joints, so connect it only to other M10 Lynx modules.
What is the continuous current rating?
The module is rated for 1000 A continuous at 12, 24 or 48 V. As always, the total fuse rating of all connected circuits should not exceed the current rating of the lowest-rated module in the system.
