Description

The MG LFP 24V 230 M12 is the M12 CAN-Bus version of MG's third generation Lithium Iron Phosphate battery module, built for marine and off-grid systems that need higher system voltages. It provides 230 Ah and 5.8 kWh at 25.6 V nominal in a 41 kg metal enclosure, with an integrated slave BMS monitoring all cell voltages and temperatures. Certified to IEC-EN 62619 and 62620 and approved under ES-TRIN, it is rated for more than 3500 cycles at 80 percent depth of discharge. The sealed M12 CAN-Bus connections make it well suited to demanding installations. The module is fully scalable, connecting up to 16 modules in series to build high voltage banks and adding parallel strings, up to 96 modules, to reach capacities above 1 MWh. A galvanically isolated CAN-Bus links each battery to an MG Master LV 24-48V, LV 72-96V or Master HV controller for real-time protection and monitoring across low and high voltage system designs.

What is the difference between the M12 and RJ45 versions of the 230 Ah battery?
Both share the same 230 Ah, 5.8 kWh LiFePO4 cell, but this version uses sealed M12 CAN-Bus connectors instead of RJ45 and supports longer series strings, up to 16 modules, for higher voltage systems.
Which Master controllers are compatible?
It works with the MG Master LV 24-48V, Master LV 72-96V and the Master HV 300, HV 500 and HV 500 G2 controllers, covering both low and high voltage system builds. A Master is required for charging, protection and monitoring.
How large a system can I build?
Connect up to 16 modules in series for high voltage banks and add parallel strings, up to 96 modules, reaching capacities above 1 MWh, all managed over the galvanically isolated CAN-Bus.
