Description

The MG LFP 24V 230 is a third generation Lithium Iron Phosphate battery module for marine and off-grid energy storage. It provides 230 Ah and 5.8 kWh at 25.6 V nominal in a rugged 41 kg metal enclosure, with an integrated slave BMS that monitors all cell voltages and temperatures and balances the pack. Certified to IEC-EN 62619 and 62620 and approved under ES-TRIN for inland waterway vessels, it is built for demanding professional installations. The module is fully scalable in both voltage and capacity. Connect up to 4 modules in series for a 96 Vdc bank and add parallel strings, up to 96 modules, to reach system capacities above 1 MWh. A galvanically isolated CAN-Bus over RJ45 links every battery to an MG Master LV 24-48V, Master LV 72-96V or Master HV controller for real-time protection and monitoring. Rated for more than 3500 cycles at 80 percent depth of discharge, it suits hybrid propulsion, house banks and onboard energy systems.

Which Master controllers work with this battery?
It is compatible with the MG Master LV 24-48V, Master LV 72-96V and the Master HV 300, HV 500 and HV 500 G2 controllers, so it suits both low and high voltage system builds. A Master is required to manage charging, protection and monitoring.
How far can I scale the system?
Connect up to 4 modules in series for a 96 Vdc bank and add multiple parallel strings, up to 96 modules, reaching system capacities above 1 MWh while the MG Master balances and protects every module.
What data and power connections does it use?
The 230 Ah standard model communicates over a galvanically isolated CAN-Bus using RJ45 connectors, which also shares data with chargers, inverters and MFD displays. Power is connected with M8 cable lugs torqued to 20 Nm.
