Description

The MG LFP 24V 304 M12 is the high voltage, M12 CAN-Bus version of MG's third generation Lithium Iron Phosphate module, delivering 304 Ah and 7.8 kWh at 25.6 V nominal. Housed in a 54 kg metal enclosure with an integrated slave BMS that monitors every cell voltage and temperature, it is certified to IEC-EN 62619 and 62620, approved under ES-TRIN, and rated for more than 4000 cycles at 80 percent depth of discharge. Designed for larger marine and industrial energy systems, it connects up to 16 modules in series to build banks up to 470 Vdc, with parallel strings, up to 96 modules, reaching capacities above 1 MWh. Sealed M12 CAN-Bus connections link each battery to an MG Master HV 300 or HV 500, or a Master LV controller, over a galvanically isolated bus for real-time protection and monitoring. This makes it a strong choice for hybrid propulsion, electric drivetrains and high voltage storage.

What makes this the high voltage version?
This M12 model can be connected up to 16 modules in series to build banks up to 470 Vdc, well beyond the 96 Vdc limit of the standard 4-in-series RJ45 model, making it suited to high voltage marine and industrial systems.
Which Master controller should I use?
For high voltage banks use the MG Master HV 300 or HV 500. The module is also compatible with the Master LV 24-48V and LV 72-96V for lower voltage builds. A Master is required for charging, protection and balancing.
What connection type does it use?
It uses sealed M12 CAN-Bus connectors for data and M8 cable lugs torqued to 20 Nm for power, giving robust connections in demanding installations. The CAN-Bus is galvanically isolated.
