Simrad RECON Saltwater 72”

The Simrad RECON Saltwater 72" trolling motor is built to battle the elements. A brushless motor paired with a stiff carbon composite shaft delivers best-in-class power and thrust, while the 2-blade weedless propeller lets you push into the hardest to reach spots with no loss of control. The long 72 inch shaft suits boats with a tall bow or significant freeboard, keeping the propeller well submerged in a chop, and the supplied sacrificial anode protects the lower unit against galvanic corrosion in salt and brackish water.

RECON delivers 90 lb of thrust on a 24 V battery system and 115 lb on a 36 V system, with a brushless drive that runs cool and efficient for long days on the water. An internal 10 Hz GPS with internal compass provides highly accurate anchor lock, holding the boat over your target spot, along with route following and heading hold. Control comes from the wearable FreeSteer joystick remote, which gives full 360 degree steering with fine 1.5 degree adjustments, or from a compatible foot pedal.

Full integration over NMEA 2000 brings effortless control to the helm of a compatible Simrad multifunction display, sharing data with chartplotters, autopilots and sonar for a fully connected system. The replaceable nose cone on saltwater models ships empty and can be upgraded with a compatible sonar nose cone where offered. Connected Simrad displays operate the motor in control-only mode. RECON is deployed and stowed manually and carries a lifetime shaft warranty.
