Description
The Simrad RS100-B brings collision-avoidance awareness to the modular RS100 black-box VHF system. Built around the NRS-2 processor, it adds a built-in dual-channel AIS receiver and a Class B AIS transmitter, so nearby AIS-equipped vessels appear on your handsets or networked Simrad display while your own position and vessel details are transmitted for others to see. This package is supplied with the GPS-500 GPS antenna, which provides the position fix required for both DSC distress calls and AIS transmission.
Like the standard RS100, the system is controlled by alphanumeric wired and wireless handsets and speakers placed wherever you need them, expanding to up to four wired handsets, four wireless handsets (eight in total) and four speakers for true vessel-wide communications and intercom. Full Class D Digital Selective Calling, hailer and fog horn functions, a 60-second audio record and replay, and NMEA 2000 networking with backlight sync are all included. A separate VHF/AIS antenna is required for the AIS transmitter and is not supplied.
