Description

The Garmin GT51M-TH is an all-in-one 12-pin thru-hull transducer that combines mid-band CHIRP traditional sonar (85 to 165 kHz) with Garmin ClearVu and SideVu CHIRP scanning sonar (260 and 455 kHz). The 600 W mid-band channel gives strong depth performance to 1,800 ft in rough conditions, while the 500 W per element scanning sonar delivers picture-like detail below the boat (ClearVu to 1,000 ft) and wide structure coverage to the sides (SideVu to 750 ft). A fairing block, isolation plate and bushings are included so it can be flush-mounted on hulls of up to 25 degrees deadrise and on metal hulls, with at least one anti-rotation bolt required, plus a built-in fast-response water temperature sensor. It connects via a 12-pin sonar port to compatible Garmin chartplotters and the GCV 20 or GSD 25 sonar black box. For higher-deadrise hulls or twin-transducer SideVu, see the GT51M-THP pair.

What sonar does the GT51M-TH provide?
It is an all-in-one transducer providing mid-band CHIRP traditional sonar (85 to 165 kHz, 600 W, to 1,800 ft) plus Garmin ClearVu and SideVu CHIRP scanning sonar at 260 and 455 kHz (500 W per element; ClearVu to 1,000 ft, SideVu to 750 ft).
How does the GT51M-TH differ from the GT41-TH?
Both are all-in-one thru-hull transducers with ClearVu and SideVu. The GT51M uses a mid-band CHIRP traditional element (85 to 165 kHz) reaching 1,800 ft, while the GT41 uses a 50/200 kHz traditional element reaching 1,500 ft. The GT51M suits coastal anglers wanting strong mid-band depth performance.
Does it come with a fairing block?
Yes. A fairing block, isolation plate and bushings are included, so it can be flush-mounted on hulls of up to 25 degrees deadrise and on metal hulls. The fairing block is shaped to the hull (maximum cut angle 25 degrees).
What do I need to display its sonar?
It uses a 12-pin connector and connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters and the GCV 20 or GSD 25 sonar black box; some combinations require an adapter cable.
