Description

The Raymarine Axiom 2 XL 22 is a 21.5" glass bridge multifunction display made for flush, frameless installation at the helm of sportfishing boats, motor yachts and larger cruisers. The edge-to-edge glass front, 1275 nit IPS panel and Hydrotough nano-coating keep charts readable and touch control dependable in bright sun and spray, and an ambient light sensor trims brightness automatically.

A hexacore processor runs the LightHouse 4 operating system with 64 GB of internal storage. Three Gigabit RayNet ports supply Power over Ethernet to up to three devices from a shared 32 W budget, so IP cameras and a network switch can run without separate supplies. HDMI input and output with USB touch links allow two-way control between the display and compatible monitors or a PC.

There is no built-in sonar: add the RVM1600 sonar module (E70665) for RealVision MAX 3D, SideVision, DownVision and 1 kW CHIRP fishfinding. The internal GNSS receiver needs an external passive antenna such as the GA150 (A80288), and chart cards need the RCR-SD/USB remote card reader (A80440), both sold separately.

Does the Axiom 2 XL have a built-in card reader?
No. Chart cards, software updates from card and user data import or export need the optional RCR-SD/USB remote card reader (A80440), which is included in the MFD kit versions. Alternatively, cartography and updates can be shared from a networked display that has a card reader. (87445 Rev 6, §3.2)
Does the Axiom 2 XL need a separate GPS antenna?
Yes, for its internal GNSS receiver to work it needs an external passive antenna such as the GA150 (A80288). The display can instead use a position fix from another GNSS source on the same network. (87445 Rev 6, §3.2)
Does the Axiom 2 XL have built-in sonar?
No. Sonar is added with the RVM1600 sonar module (E70665), which brings RealVision MAX 3D, SideVision, DownVision and up to 1 kW CHIRP channels to the display over RayNet. (87436 Rev 1, §3.4)
Can the Axiom 2 XL power other network devices?
Yes. Its three Gigabit RayNet ports provide Power over Ethernet with a shared budget of 32 W (26 W at the powered device) for up to three PoE devices, such as IP cameras. (87445 Rev 6, §11.5)
Can I control a PC or external monitor from the display?
Yes. Using HDMI output with USB touch input, a compatible touchscreen monitor can view and control the display; using HDMI input with USB touch output, the display's touchscreen can control a PC or similar device. (87445 Rev 6, §3.1)
Is the Axiom 2 XL waterproof?
Yes, it is rated IPx6 and IPx7 and is suitable for above or below decks installation. (87445 Rev 6, technical specification)
