Description
The Blue Smart IP22 Charger is a professional battery charger with built-in Bluetooth, suited to the workshop and to vehicles such as cars, motorbikes, boats and camper vans. A microprocessor-controlled adaptive 6-stage charge algorithm optimises every cycle, and the full algorithm can be reprogrammed in the free VictronConnect app once Expert mode is enabled.
Bluetooth lets you read voltage and current, change settings and update firmware wirelessly. VE.Smart Networking links the charger to a Smart Battery Sense, BMV-712 or SmartShunt for temperature and voltage compensated charging, and lets up to ten chargers synchronise to charge a battery bank as one. Storage mode reduces maintenance when a battery is left connected, the charger recovers deeply discharged batteries from zero volts, and a NIGHT or LOW mode runs it silently at reduced current.
This 12 V, 15 A single-output model is the 120 V variant, supplied with a US NEMA 5-15 plug and rated for a 100-130 VAC supply. With efficiency up to 93% and under 1 W consumption once charged, it wastes far less energy as heat than conventional chargers.

Which batteries can this charger be used with?
It charges 12 V lead-acid batteries (flooded, AGM and gel) with a 6-stage adaptive algorithm, and lithium-ion (LiFePO4) batteries with a bulk, absorption and float algorithm. The algorithm is fully programmable in the VictronConnect app.
What is VE.Smart Networking?
VE.Smart Networking is a wireless Bluetooth link between Victron devices. Adding a Smart Battery Sense, BMV-712 or SmartShunt lets the charger use measured battery voltage and temperature, and up to ten chargers can be synchronised to charge one battery bank together.
What do the NIGHT and LOW modes do?
In NIGHT or LOW mode the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50 % of nominal and the charger runs silently. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours; LOW mode is ended manually.
Can it be used as a power supply?
Yes. The Blue Smart IP22 can run as a DC power supply, selectable in the VictronConnect app, to power equipment with or without a battery connected.
What AC supply does this version need?
This is the 120 V version. It accepts a 100-130 VAC, 45-65 Hz supply and is fitted with a 1.8 m cable and a US NEMA 5-15 plug.
