Description

HALO20+ is a compact pulse-compression radar built for coastal and bay boats that want high-quality detection at short, mid and long range from a single 20-inch dome. Pulse compression with beam sharpening keeps small or closely-spaced targets cleanly separated, while Dual Range lets you watch for collision hazards close in and keep an eye on distant weather cells at the same time.

The dome spins at up to 60 RPM at ranges to 1.5 nautical miles, giving an almost real-time picture that is ideal for tracking fast-moving targets in busy waterways or poor visibility. Built-in VelocityTrack Doppler colour-codes every target by whether it is closing on you or moving away, with no need to acquire targets manually, and MARPA tracks up to 10 targets (20 in Dual Range).

InstantOn brings the radar out of standby in seconds rather than the minutes a magnetron radar needs, and Harbour, Offshore, Weather, Bird and custom modes tune the signal processing to suit the conditions. HALO20+ connects to compatible Lowrance HDS PRO, HDS LIVE and Elite FS displays over Ethernet and is supplied with a 5 m cable.

What is the difference between the HALO20 and HALO20+?
The HALO20+ adds 36 nm range (vs 24 nm), faster rotation up to 60 RPM, VelocityTrack Doppler target colouring and a display-controlled blue accent light. Both share the same 20-inch dome.
What does VelocityTrack Doppler technology do?
VelocityTrack gives instant visual feedback on whether targets are moving towards or away from you, colour-coding potential hazards automatically to improve collision avoidance.
How fast does the HALO20+ rotate?
The HALO20+ rotates at 20-60 RPM depending on mode and display. At ranges up to 1.5 nm it can spin at up to 60 RPM for an almost real-time view.
What power does the HALO20+ draw?
It draws 17-29 W operating (range/mode dependent) and 3.9 W typical in standby, from a 10.5-31.2 V DC supply with a 5 A fuse.
Can the HALO20+ watch two ranges at once?
Yes. Dual Range mode lets you monitor a near and a far range simultaneously, with MARPA tracking up to 10 targets (20 in Dual Range).
