Lowrance Link-6 Fixed Mount DSC VHF Radio
Description
The Lowrance Link-6 is a fixed-mount DSC VHF radio for boaters who want dependable everyday communication and a clear safety call to hand. Straightforward rotary and keypad controls and a removable four-key hand microphone make it easy to live with at the helm, while the front-mountable mechanical design keeps installation simple on consoles where rear access is tight.
Because the Link-6 has no internal GPS, it is designed to take a position feed from a connected chartplotter or external GPS over its NMEA 0183 port, so a single DISTRESS press can broadcast your identity and location. The same connection lets the radio pass DSC information back to a compatible Lowrance display, keeping the radio and plotter working together rather than as separate boxes.
It is a natural fit aboard a boat already running a Lowrance HDS, Elite FS or Hook plotter, and can be gimbal-bracket or flush mounted to suit the helm, with a flush mount kit supplied.
