Description

The Victron BlueSolar MPPT 75/15 is a compact maximum power point tracking solar charge controller for 12V and 24V battery systems, sized for boats, campers and smaller off-grid installations. Its ultra-fast tracking algorithm holds the panel at its optimum operating point even as light levels change, harvesting up to 30 percent more energy than a PWM controller. Battery system voltage is recognised automatically on first connection.

This is the BlueSolar version, so it does not have Bluetooth built in. It is configured and monitored either over a wired VE.Direct connection to a GX device and the VRM portal, or wirelessly by adding a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle and the VictronConnect app. A short-circuit-proof load output with low-voltage disconnect, and full electronic protection against reverse polarity, over-temperature and output short circuit, keep installation safe and the battery protected.

Does the BlueSolar MPPT 75/15 have built-in Bluetooth?
No. The BlueSolar range does not have Bluetooth built in. To configure and monitor it wirelessly with the VictronConnect app you need to add a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle, which is sold separately. The SmartSolar version of the same model has Bluetooth built in.
What size solar array can I connect?
The maximum PV open circuit voltage is 75V and the maximum PV short circuit current is 15A. As a guide, Victron rate it for up to 220W of panels on a 12V battery and up to 440W on a 24V battery. If more PV power is connected the controller simply limits its input.
Will it work on both 12V and 24V batteries?
Yes. It automatically detects and selects a 12V or 24V system voltage on first connection, and delivers up to 15A of charge current with a multi-stage adaptive charge algorithm.
What is the load output for?
The load output can power small DC loads up to 15A and disconnects them at a pre-set low battery voltage, or under the BatteryLife algorithm, to protect the battery from over-discharge. The load output is short circuit proof.
Can I connect it to a Victron GX device for monitoring?
Yes. The VE.Direct port allows a wired connection to a Color Control GX or other GX device for system monitoring, including the VRM online portal.
