Description
The Lowrance Link-9 is the most capable radio in the Link range, built for skippers who want collision awareness and full system integration from their VHF. A built-in dual-channel AIS receiver lets you see and identify nearby AIS-equipped vessels, and an integrated GPS receiver provides the position fix that DSC and AIS rely on, with a connector for an optional external antenna where reception is restricted.
What sets the Link-9 apart is how it joins the wider helm. Over NMEA 2000 it shares its AIS targets and GPS with the rest of the network, so AIS traffic can be overlaid on the chart of a compatible Lowrance multifunction display and viewed alongside radar and sonar rather than only on the radio's own screen. A built-in hailer output adds ship-to-shore and on-deck announcements.
It is at home at the centre of a Lowrance system running HDS PRO, HDS LIVE, Elite FS or Hook Reveal displays, and can be gimbal-bracket or flush mounted, with a flush mount kit supplied.
