Description

The Airmar SS175L is a low-frequency CHIRP thru-hull transducer built for serious offshore and deep-water fishing. Its single broadband ceramic element sweeps the Low CHIRP band from 40 to 75 kHz at 1 kW of peak power, returning crisp target separation and reliable bottom tracking in very deep water, with a maximum range of around 2,500 ft (762 m) in good conditions. The wide 32 to 21 degree beam covers a large search area, making it well suited to locating bait schools and game fish over the continental shelf.

The rugged stainless steel housing is rated for fibreglass and wood hulls, and this 0 degree version is matched to hulls with 0 to 7 degrees of deadrise so the element fires vertically through the water. An integrated depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor adds essential data without a second fitting. The transducer terminates in a Navico XSonic black 9-pin connector on a 10 m cable for a direct connection to compatible 9-pin Simrad and Lowrance displays and sonar modules; legacy 7-pin XSonic displays connect using the 000-13977-001 adapter cable.
