Description

The Simrad HALO 3006 sits at the top of the open array range, pairing a 130 W solid-state pedestal with a 6 ft antenna to deliver the long-range punch of a 25 kW magnetron radar. It detects targets from just 6 metres out to 96 nautical miles, and the full-length array produces a tight 1.2 degree horizontal beam (0.8 degrees with beam sharpening) for outstanding target separation and clarity in both crowded marinas and open water.

Preset Harbour, Offshore, Weather and Bird modes need no manual tuning, and the powerful Bird+ mode concentrates the radar on locating flocks of birds, and the fish beneath them, at up to 8 nautical miles. Safety features run deep: ZoneTrack follows up to 50 vessels within defined areas, VelocityTrack Doppler colour-codes targets by relative motion, and Dangerous Target Alerts flag the range, bearing and heading of nearby craft. Solid-state design means instant readiness from standby and 16 to 25 seconds from a cold start, with the same footprint as previous HALO arrays for easy upgrades. The system is supplied with the RI-50 power supply and a 20 m power and Ethernet cable, and connects to Simrad NSS, NSX, NSO and GO displays.
