Description

The Simrad S5100 is a networked triple-channel CHIRP sonar module built for serious offshore and sportfishing use. Its three fully independent sonar channels can run High, Medium and Low CHIRP frequencies at the same time, or be combined to show dual independent depth ranges on a single screen, so you never have to choose between marking bait, finding structure and tracking fish at depth.

Each channel drives a transducer at up to 3 kW RMS across a 25 to 250 kHz frequency range, using tuned CHIRP transmitters and broadband receivers to resolve fine target detail and separate individual fish. The module connects to compatible Simrad multi-function displays over a 100 Mbps Ethernet network, and sonar data can be shared with every MFD on the network, making it ideal for vessels with multiple helm stations.

Designed for flexible installation, the S5100 can be mounted on a horizontal or vertical surface and accepts 9-pin, 7-pin (via adapter) or bare-wire (via junction box) transducers. It runs from a 12 or 24 V DC supply with reverse-polarity, under-voltage and over-voltage protection, and reports status through clear front-panel LEDs for power, network and each sonar channel.

How many transducers can the S5100 run at once?
